Dr. Georgianna Dart received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Kean University in Union, NJ and Masters and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology from Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida in 2008.

 

She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY conducting neuropsychological evaluations and psychotherapy on the Traumatic Brain Injury and Coma Recovery Unit, the Stroke Rehabilitation Institute, and the Rutland Nursing Home for children with severe development disorders, as well as conducting outpatient academic and neuropsychological evaluations.

Her post-doctoral fellowship was completed at the NYU/Langone Rusk Rehabilitation Institute’s Brain Injury Day Treatment Program providing integrated, holistic cognitive remediation for survivors of traumatic brain injury. Following this she worked at King’s County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY in the Developmental Evaluation Clinic conducting neuropsychological evaluations and providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families with a variety of presentations including brain injury, epilepsy, developmental delays, learning disorders, ADD/ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

She currently holds a position at Hackensack Meridian JFK-Johnson Rehabilitation Institute as an inpatient neuropsychologist on the Brain Trauma Unit and Extended Recovery Unit.

Her clinical experience also includes providing in-home and in-clinic mental health counseling to disadvantaged families and at-risk children and adolescents, and mental health assessments for the  court system at Family Connections in Orange, NJ, and providing in-school and at-home individual and family therapy through PsychSolutions in Coral Gables, FL. She has also worked as a mental health benefits utilization reviewer for UniPsych/The Bradman Network in Davie, FL.
